Kraft outlines post-split leadership
When Kraft Foods splits into two companies, CEO and Chairwoman Irene Rosenfeld will lead the global snacks business, while Tony Vernon will helm the North American grocery business, to be named Kraft Foods. Sara Lee foodservice beverage unit now part of Smucker
J.M. Smucker has completed the acquisition of the foodservice coffee and hot beverage unit of Sara Lee, which includes Sara Lee's Douwe Egberts brand. "The transaction further strengthens our position as a leading North American coffee company, provides new coffee technologies, and adds significant scale to our foodservice business," said Smucker CEO Richard Smucker. >Read Full Story

P&G sells PUR to Helen of Troy
Procter & Gamble has sold its PUR water purification unit to Helen of Troy, which will make the water filter systems part of its health care and home environment unit.
