Reports to:     SVP Sales & Marketing

Location:         Omaha, NE

Position Overview

The mission of this role is to expand the company's supply chain opportunities and overall business growth through logistics initiatives and scalable consolidation programs in manufacturing, food service, restaurant and retail. The Director of National Accounts and Channel Expansion will maintain and expand existing relationships with strategically important manufacturing, retail, food service and re-distribution customers as well as developing channel expansion strategy to improve penetration in the retail, restaurant and food service channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

        Provide direction, leadership, and development of large national multi-unit accounts across multiple channels of distribution.

        Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.

        Develop and sell supply chain solution or consolidation programs to key strategic accounts.

        Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

        Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.

        Drive quality and effectiveness of existing business and consistently sell new business ideas, solutions, improved customer experience and loyalty or entanglement to the company.

        Demonstrate excellent strategic and analytical skills in the areas of solution based selling, supply chain improvement, account building, integrated marketing communications and business development.

        Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and financial targets.

        Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs.

        Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

Accountabilities

        Achieve assigned sales targets in designated strategic accounts

        Meet assigned expectations for profitability

        Achieve strategic customer objectives defined by company management

        Complete strategic customer account plans that meet company standards

        Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards

Education & Experience 

        Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. MBA preferred.

        10 years of Strategic Account management experience

        Excellent people management experience

        Outstanding CPG & Supply Chain experience

        Superb written and verbal skills

        Miller Heiman selling skills a plus

        Outstanding presentation skills and presence and MS Office skills

        Ability to travel 50% and be based out of Omaha, NE
