Position Overview

We seek a B2B Vice President - National Accounts to call on a service large consumer goods & services
companies in supply chain logistics.

Profitably manage all aspects of our company’s relationship with senior executives of manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Prepare persuasive proposals and presentations for new clients and program renewals. Assist in building the business cases to support their investment in the resources necessary to optimize the product offering. Lead a matrix team of talented individuals to identify, implement and execute key strategic initiatives that deliver growth and innovation to clients.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

* Communicate informally and formally with stakeholders to garner feedback, identify opportunities to grow or enhance their program and collaborate on strategic initiatives for supply chain logistics programs that complement their overall organizational goals. Actively listen to client concerns, needs, goals or objections, both stated and unstated, and marshalling the appropriate company resources to be responsive to those concerns, needs or goals.
* Prepare and deliver detailed, persuasive written proposals and in-person presentations to secure new programs, increase penetration to existing partnerships, create shared business case for strategic initiatives, in response to partner RFP processes and annual planning processes.
* In partnership with the companies Analytics resources, continually evaluate profitability of clients product supply/manufacturing operations to ensure maximum profitability.
* Manage, coordinate and influence cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities to incorporate subject matter experts in creative, analytics or optimization into the partner working group for specific projects or strategic initiatives and create the necessary project administration and accountability by acting as the main point of contact and accountability for the relationship.
* Evaluate market trends and competitor activity
* Champion the business case for obtaining the data necessary from our partners to provide Analytics team with the information necessary to create segmentation, new product or pricing opportunities.
* Prepare reasonable and accurate revenue budgets while also evaluating profitability of each account
* Supervise, coach and develop account executive staff to ensure alignment between the organization and client goals. Share best practices and relevant information among peer group to ensure that duplication of effort is minimized where possible and account personnel bring the best, most up-to-date experience to bear on a client issue.

Core Competencies & Qualifications

* Bachelors and/or Masters degree from a qualified university.
* 5+ years experience in consulting environment such as management consulting or other client-focused, consultative service environment in supply chain, consumer goods and/or retail.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills capable of interacting with senior officers of major companies, cultivating strong relationships and leveraging those relationships with our customers, their employees, and other third parties to the company’s long term benefit
* Entrepreneurial attitude where accountability for profitability and satisfaction are second nature. Results-focused and metrics-driven
* Demonstrates leadership and teambuilding as core competencies
* Communicates effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
* Manages time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, delegation, time management and project management skills
* Works independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest in customer service, quality and results
* Analyzes information to make sound business decisions taking prudent business risks as appropriate
* Anticipates problems and works proactively to solve them through creative thinking
* Negotiates skillfully, anticipating reactions and planning strategically to overcome objections
