Merchandising Director
Our client is a privately held company that has grown at least 10% each year for 10 years and in 2012 grew 16% and eclipsed annual sales of $2B. The company is fast paced and expecting continued rapid growth with a goal to double current sales to $4B annually.

Reports to: Vice President Merchandising
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Position Overview
Due to continued expansion this opportunity is integral to the company. The Merchandising Director will report to the Vice President of Merchandising and lead a team of 80+ professionals including senior product managers, product managers, quality control, pricing, new product and operations. Successful candidates will plan and direct the Merchandising function, lead market research to identify needs and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market and industry.
The Merchandising Director is responsible for finding and selecting the product for the company’s catalog. The department is responsible for vendor contracts, specifying product information, and approving creative layouts. Merchandising works closely with all other departments including Marketing, Creative, Purchasing, Sales and Customer Service.
The qualifications we seek are:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
· 10-15 years related experience, prior merchandising experience preferred.
· Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
· Excellent time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Minimal travel required.
