General Manager - Asia

Our client is a $10B global consumer packaged goods company.

• Lead a large, multi-functional team and be responsible for overseeing the growth and overall success of the company’s China operations.
• Full P&L responsibility, focusing on optimizing volume and margin mix to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement the company mid to long term strategy including product development and launch, market development and channel penetration programs and initiatives in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
• Analyze market intelligence information and data to identify the new opportunities in the market and develop the proper business model to guide the company’s daily operation.
•  Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies for multiple channels, e.g. key accounts, distributors, food service and other special channels, and be tasked with establishing a solid brand image to achieve profit growth objectives.
•  Reinforce and further develop  a culture of success and people development.

 

Education & Experience

• 10+ years solid experience in sales and marketing management within high profile multi-national FMCG companies.
• General Management experience with a track record of success leading a business or significant size to achieve positive results.
• ·Experience in the China market, and be ready to take on the challenge of growing and building up a business and a brand.
• Strong strategic thinker and team leader, accountable to recruit, train and develop people and their business skills, agility and commercial acumen to adapt to a diverse range of business challenges.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
